Dermaplaning
SKIN COMPLEXION
OVERVIEW
Dermaplaning is a non-invasive manual exfoliation treatment performed by a trained aesthetics professional using a sterile surgical scalpel. The blade is gently held at a 45-degree angle and feathered across the skin to remove the top layer of dead skin cells along with fine vellus hair ("peach fuzz"). The result is an immediately smoother, brighter complexion and an ideal canvas for skincare product absorption and makeup application.
KEY BENEFITS
Instantly smooths skin texture and enhances radiance
Removes fine vellus hair for a flawless makeup base
Significantly improves penetration of skincare products
Safe during pregnancy when chemical peels are not
No downtime — results are immediately visible
IDEAL CANDIDATE
Anyone wanting instant skin smoothness and glow with zero downtime. Especially popular before special events. Safe for dry, sensitive, or pregnant skin. Not recommended for active acne breakouts, very sensitive rosacea, or inflamed skin.
THE PROCESS
How it works…
Consultation
During the consultation we will assess your skin to confirm dermaplaning is appropriate and safe for your current skin condition.
Preparation
Skin is thoroughly cleansed and dried. Dry skin is essential for the blade to glide smoothly and safely.
Treatment
Using a sterile scalpel at a precise 45-degree angle, your provider gently strokes the blade across the skin in short, upward motions. The treatment is painless and typically takes 20–30 minutes.
Post-treatment
SPF and a calming serum are applied. Skin may look slightly pink immediately after but this fades quickly. Avoid strong exfoliants for 1 week.
Maintenance
Treatment can be repeated every 3–4 weeks as vellus hair regrows. Results are immediate and cumulative with regular sessions.
