Hormone Replacement Therapy for Women
HORMONE HEALTH
OVERVIEW
Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) for women is a medically supervised treatment that replenishes estrogen — and in some cases progestin — that the body naturally stops producing during perimenopause and menopause. Declining hormone levels can significantly impact quality of life, causing hot flashes, night sweats, sleep disruption, vaginal dryness, mood changes, and cognitive fog. HRT is the most clinically effective treatment for managing these symptoms and also plays a protective role in long-term bone density and cardiovascular health. At Newburyport Medical Aesthetics, our providers tailor HRT to each individual using the most appropriate delivery method — whether oral, topical, or injectable.

IDEAL CANDIDATE
Women experiencing perimenopause or menopause symptoms that are affecting their daily quality of life — including but not limited to hot flashes, night sweats, mood instability, sleep problems, vaginal dryness, and fatigue. Candidacy is assessed individually based on personal and family health history.
THE PROCESS
How it works…
Consultation
A comprehensive discussion of your symptoms, menstrual history, medical history, and personal health goals helps your provider determine if HRT is appropriate.
Lab Work
Hormone panel blood work is ordered to measure current estrogen, progesterone, FSH, and other relevant markers, providing an objective baseline.
Treatment Plan
We then design a personalized HRT protocol — selecting the right hormones, doses, and delivery method (oral pills, patches, topical creams, vaginal rings, or injections) based on your needs and preferences.
Initiation & Adjustment
Treatment begins and a follow-up is scheduled at 6–8 weeks to review symptom improvement and adjust dosing as needed based on labs and how you feel.
Ongoing Monitoring
Annual (or more frequent) check-ins include lab reviews, blood pressure monitoring, and reassessment of risks and benefits to ensure your protocol continues to serve you optimally.
