miraDry is an FDA-cleared, non-surgical procedure that uses precisely controlled microwave energy to permanently eliminate sweat and odor glands in the underarm area. Unlike temporary solutions like antiperspirants or neurotoxin injections, miraDry permanently destroys sweat glands — and since the body has approximately 2 million sweat glands, the removal of underarm glands does not affect the body's ability to regulate temperature. THE PROCESS
How it works…
Consultation
During the consultation we will confirms hyperhidrosis severity and ensures miraDry is the appropriate solution for your level of sweating.
Preparation
Local anesthetic is injected into both underarms to ensure a fully comfortable experience throughout the procedure.
Treatment
A temporary template is applied to the underarm to guide precise handpiece placement. Microwave energy is delivered in a grid pattern to permanently eliminate sweat and odor glands. Each underarm takes approximately 20–30 minutes.
Post-treatment
Swelling, soreness, and temporary numbness in the underarm area are normal and typically resolve within 1–2 weeks. Ice packs and over-the-counter pain relief are recommended.
Results
Most clients achieve 70–82% reduction in sweating after a single treatment. A second session may be performed for additional results if desired.
